Fall is my favorite season and I love everything about it, but as soon as November hits in Michigan we get lots of rainy, gloomy days that always make me want to do nothing but curl up on the couch and stay inside all day.  Today I am sharing with you a few of my favorite things to do inside on a cold rainy day.

I am into a lot of different “fandoms” as they are called and because of this I just love a great movie marathon! Nothing beats being curled up on the couch all day drinking hot chocolate and re-watching all the star wars movies back to back, in whatever order you see fit!

Hot chocolate is one of those drinks that I only like when it’s cold outside.  However I can’t tell you the last time I had plain hot chocolate. I just can’t help myself from doctoring it up with different extracts, marshmallows, syrups and candy.  One of my personal favorites is to add cinnamon, just like in Once Upon a Time!

I am an avid reader, and truth be told my stack of books to read is always much longer than the stack of books that I have already read. I just can’t find enough time in a day to read as much as I would like, I love days where I can cozy on up with Tucker in my lap along with a warm fuzzy blanket and being able to finish a book in a day.

My creative juices tend to start flowing when I have time to sit and think. There is nothing that I love more than to be able to turn on some Jack Johnson and totally zone out into my design mode. I tend to get quite a lot more done in this kind of weather.

My busy schedule usually doesn’t allow for naps on a daily basis, although I would love it if it did! I LOVE naps, I have dreams about naps. Naps make the world go round.  It is very rare that I find the opportunity to be able to take a nap, but when I am able to find the time for a nap it sure is wonderful!

For some reason I feel the need to try new recipes or even bake cookies on days like this. Of course I didn’t realize this about myself until my Mom pointed it out. But it’s totally true! For example the other day I decided to make a Halloween chocolate cake with ghosts, and this afternoon I have been making Beer Cheese Soup!
