#1 Color!
I’ve been coloring as an adult since before it was cool! To be perfectly honest, I have never stopped coloring! Believe me, I have enjoyed the latest trend of adult coloring books as it has forced me to ditch all of the many Disney ones that I had picked up at the dollar store. Speaking of Disney, before I left my program and graduated from Disney U, as a going away I had all of my co-workers color a page in a coloring book for me. I can’t tell you how many compliments I got not only for originality but because they loved the relaxation that 10 minutes of coloring had brought them.

#2 Pajama Day!
I don’t know about you, but for me lounging around all day and not getting out of your pajamas is a total luxury, and one of the best feelings. Granted I can’t stay still and am usually working or sewing but it feels so much better knowing that I don’t have to get dressed and go anywhere. A true miracle is when I get to veg out while doing so.

#3 Schedule a Massage!
I have been fortunate to have been able to have a massage at least once a year for the majority of my life. My mom used to schedule them for me whenever I had finals, her thoughts were that this way I was relaxed when taking those stressful tests (the massages worked wonders for my exams and stress levels). Since I am no longer in school a massage is now more of a treat. A much needed treat. Normally I have the standard 60-minute full body massage, but the hot stone massage is now my very favorite and goes for about 75 minutes! This is the most perfect way that I can spoil myself!

#4 Re-read a Favorite book or Re-Watch your favorite movie
I honestly can’t tell you how many times I have read my favorite book, The Great Gatsby. Mostly because I like to read it when I need a break from the world, and since it’s my favorite I already know what happens! Same goes with my favorite movie, Ever After. I actually know the movie word for word and still can’t watch it without crying. Despite the fact that I have seen it so many times and that I have gone through two DVD’s before I went digital!

#5 Bubble Bath, or paint!
I used to take bubble baths, I loved taking bubble baths. Until we moved. Do you know that we don’t have a single bathtub in our house! Granted, we do have a hot tub but it’s just not the same! Because of this I needed a new way to unwind and to take over my lack of bubble bath frustration, so I started painting more. I still don’t get to paint as often as I would like to however I find that it is still a great way for me to get my mind refocused on just one creative thing at a time.

What do you do to unwind?
