The winter season is officially in full swing, which means that for us in the North warmth is not coming any time soon. (Unless of course you have a fabulous vacation planned like me!) This week I am sharing my winter nail polish craving with all of you dear beauty readers!
This is the time of year when my hands literally start screaming for attention. The cold weather tends to dry out my hands, they start cracking, getting sores and just start aching all around. Because of this I make sure to give myself a manicure a bit more often and lotion a couple times a day to help them heal and give my hands the extra TLC it needs. I have been trying out Essie’s new Gel Polish for a little while now and I have to say it is totally worth the money! The polish lasts longer and is a gorgeous shiny texture that makes your nails look and feel beautiful.
The first of my favorites for winter is this lovely blush pink color called Fairy Tailor. It is a very pale pink that would pass for a neutral color especially if your wanting something light and airy for your nails this time of year. I love that I can wear this with any occasion and goes great with everything I wear! No clashing colors here.
The next nail polish color that I have been craving is this lovely shade of gray called Make the Cut. Gray happens to be my neutral of choice and lately I just can’t get enough of it. I’ve had this shade on repeat the last couple of weeks as it not only goes great with my wardrobe but it has the cool winter tone to it that goes well with the weather.
The last polish favorite is this navy blue polish called Find Me A Man-Nequin. I am normally not one to wear dark colors on my hands but this shade seems to be perfect. The navy helps remind me of summer season to come but is that much lighter than black that it works perfectly. There is a slight gray tint to it making it another great choice for winter.
How do you take care of your hands in the winter? What colors are you craving for your nails?
Happy New Year!
