My Guide to Shopping at HomeGoods

HomeGoods can be very intimidating as there’s so much to see and everything you want to appear in your house immediately. This guide is to help you, whether this is your first time going or you’ve been a 100 million times. I am sharing with you my HomeGoods essentials and if I don’t have a lot of time these are the spots that I hit without fail.

My favorite days are when I know I have time to just browse down every aisle. But no trip is complete without having my trusty Starbucks in hand. Because this is one of my little escapes where I relax from the world.

After entering this shopping paradise my first stop is the Kitchen area. The Specialty Foods to be exact. Here is where you find things like coffee and specialty pastas. Practical everyday things for a lower price and potentially fun party or gift ideas for a lower price. KCups are definitely a favorite of mine. As are these pastas! #Italiangirl

My next stop is Tucker’s favorite. (Depending on the layout of the store) I have brought Tuck in a few times and he LOVES picking out his own treats! But I like to stock up on things like these doggie bags. Because this is HomeGoods you never know what awesome thing you are going to find for your fur baby.

The next few sections are always fun for when you have the time to just browse through but normally I don’t need anything related to bathroom, bedding, etc. However, if you are wanting to work on organization I do recommend their basket section. There are tons of bins and baskets all wonderful quality for a very decent price. Especially if there is no Container Store near you.

I love going through the lamps. I got my lamps from my studio here and trust me if I needed more lamps this would be the place that I would go. Same with the mirrors, the prices on them are amazing even for large ones like this one.

These lamps are GORGEOUS!

My next official section is the picture frames. I am always needing a frame for a print, picture or even to give as a gift. I have been collecting all sorts of gold ones like the one I show here. Because HomeGoods gets all sorts of new stuff weekly and I don’t go in everyday, there is always a new selection.

My last section that is on my must list is the stationary aisle. It’s here that I stock up on cards and napkins because they are only a couple bucks each. Especially if I know I have a party of some sort coming up.

I don’t normally shop in the furniture/rugs/decorative items area as I just don’t have room for any new major pieces. But sometimes there will be the most original and fun pieces that I love but never buy.

LOVE these chairs! If only I had a place to put them…

As I head to check out, of course there is tons to look at in the line. I can get kind of carried away as it’s a smaller condensed version of all of the categories of the store. That’s when I skip to my favorites again. Specialty Food, Pets, Frames, Stationary… Check out!
