Kimonos have been so on trend lately, and I couldn’t be happier! They are the perfect addition to spruce up any outfit. You can wear them with jeans, work wear or over a sundress to add a different look. What’s even better is that a thicker kimono is the perfect piece to transition into Fall.

I bought this particular blue bird kimono at Kohls a few years ago on clearance for only $17! It was normally priced at $70. Of course, this was before they became on trend again but that never stopped me from wearing it! My favorite way to style it is over a sundress like the Elan one that I am wearing. Adding the kimono to my black strapless sundress makes it a bit more conservative and gives me the ability to wear it to work, meetings or even shopping at the mall. I love layering a kimono over any outfit to give it a bit of dimension, also it’s just fun to twirl once in a while.

Today I chose to dress it up a bit but still keep that summer spirit. Especially since I’m still wearing flip flops! I paired it with my pink wire headband and Kate Spade Clutch (similar) to bring even more pink into my style. I love feeling feminine yet sassy all at the same time.

I am currently on the hunt for another kimono to add to my wardrobe as I believe one is not enough. Especially since they are PERFECT for layering given that there is a change in the weather coming up and I know I won’t be ready for a coat just yet.
