I came across the cutest little cafe in downtown Green Bay. What was even better was that there was plenty for this vegetarian to choose from! Kavarna offered a variety of lunch items, coffee as well as pastries!
I decided to order the custard pastry. Well, at least as an appetizer. I came hungry and sometimes you just have to have your dessert first like my Mamaw taught me. The pastry was AMAZING! It was definitely worth the trip in itself, until the wraps came. I ordered the cheesy artichoke and my Mom ordered the mushroom spinach. We decided to split them so we both had half of each, that way we could try more from the menu. They were both great choices! The artichoke one was so wonderful I have recreated it at least twice the past couple months!
The cafe was adorable and just kept getting bigger as you went towards the back! It’s filled with art, local news and a warmth that only comes from the most wonderful of places. There was a heat wave that Fall weekend, so this Liz Louize dress was perfect for the occasion. You can check out their new online store here. If you’re headed to Green Bay I definitely recommend going to Kavarna and walking along the Fox River afterwards. I’m going back on my next trip and getting a custard pastry. π
