These last couple of months my daily life has changed drastically. On top of working a full time job that I love, Katie K Designs has gotten bigger and better, I work out 3-4 times a week at Pure Barre, I’m a dog mom to a demanding Yorkie-Poo and y’all know I have a bad coffee shop habit. I function better on a schedule and a to do list to keep myself together. My fashion sense needs to have that flexibility of taking me where I need to be throughout the day. Which is why I was thrilled when Liz of With Wonder and Whimsy approached me about partnering together with Avenue, I knew it was the perfect time to talk about being a woman on the go!

Every week I am faced with working my everyday job, grabbing coffee, meetings with brands, grabbing coffee, meeting up with friends, stopping to get coffee, last minute dinner out, more coffee…. Let’s face it, I am always on the go. Little sleep and long to do lists are often complimented with loads of Starbucks and some great fashion fallbacks. Dresses are my go to no matter what the weather looks like outside but I have found that the key is to find one that can take me from any occasion. My recipe for the perfect dress is something fun, bold, playful and classy. Not to mention makes me feel amazing! This stripe floral sheath dress from Avenue meets all of those requirements and more. It has such sassy details on the sleeves that it’s perfect on its own, I can add a sweater or jacket to bring it a bit more professional as well as changing up the shoes. Because of the blizzard last weekend I chose to pair this dress with my Navy Booties, but I can’t wait to wear it with these peep toe wedges that will be making an appearance in future posts.

I am crazy about this white faux leather jacket! It’s got the perfect amount of edge to go with my sweet appearing nature. The side zippers give it a nice tapered appearance that really does my hourglass figure justice. The jacket is actually pretty light weight making it the perfect companion for Spring dresses. It can help take your look from casual to professional in less than 3 seconds! I absolutely love that it just has the one front clasp, which allows it to drape nicely when it’s open. I know this jacket will be on repeat in my wardrobe the next couple of months.

Of course I had to finish my look with some lipstick and pearls, after all my Mamaw always told me “A Woman never leaves the house without her lipstick and pearls on!” That’s definitely something that I live by every day.
