I attended a lovely Style Seminar last month hosted by my friends Anne of Curls and Contours and Liz of With Wonder and Whimsy at HIPS Resale Boutique in Clawson, Michigan. This was my first time at HIPS, I thought it was the cutest little shop and I had the best time wandering through the racks after the event to score some great deals with mimosa in hand. 😉

The owner, Vikki is just lovely and you instantly feel welcomed when you walk in the door. HIPS specializes in the curvy girl with sizes 12 on up. The fashions are current and include casual, workwear and even special occasions. Not to mention some designer purses like Louis Vuitton, Coach and Kate Spade. Personally I fell in love with the Taxi Kate Spade clutch that was found on one of the racks.

I found lots of items that could totally go home with me, but after a bit of restraint on my shopping habit I only left with one item. What did I end up leaving with you might ask? I scored this Catherine’s Navy Striped dress for only $28.00 (normally $90!) The dress will be featured in it’s own post coming up in a couple weeks and i’m absolutely in love with it! If you’re in the Detroit area make sure to stop by this rare gem and score some finds of your own!
