What does a Style Influencer wear on a college campus tour when there is a heat advisory in affect? Apparently a new Lilly Pulitzer dress with an Athleta Mind Set super soft vest to help bear the high air conditioned buildings. In all fairness I was comfortable, fashionable and had a blast exploring the brick buildings.

When I was in Virginia for my cousin’s graduation we also took a tour of her school of choice; Regent University to see where she would be heading in the Fall. On that day it turned out to also be a Heat Advisory with temperatures over 100 and a thick humidity. It’s something I don’t think has ever existed in Michigan but I think that I handled it fabulously. #ThankfulForAirConditioning

Lilly Pulitzer announced their new Mermaid Cove print last month and I instantly fell in love! None of the style from my Curvy Guide came in the new print so I decided to order a new style and pray! I chose to order the Margot Swing Dress and I instantly fell in love! Not just the amazing Mermaid Cove print, but the cut and cute details of the dress like the tassels in the back. It fit me like a glove. Definitely one of my favorites so far!

I was given a gift card to Athleta earlier this year and finally went in store to shop for the first time last month. They have so many fun and comfortable options that it took me a while to make a decision. Apparently I was really wanting something white as I had narrowed down my purchase to three different white sweaters! After a fashion show with the amazing staff in the dressing room I finally settled on this White Mind Set Vest as it was fun and different from anything else in my wardrobe. I knew I would have a blast all summer throwing it over my sun dresses or even wearing it with jeans for work. It’s light weight and built for sweat which is why I knew it would work great for my walking tour in the heat but also keep me warm after spending long periods of time sitting the high air conditioning.

This adorable white scalloped clutch was my latest purchase from Etsy from a shop called Poppy Pine! I chose white for summer and the teal stitch color to go with more of my blues in my summer wardrobe. It is the perfect little clutch for something light and I ended up using it my entire week in Virginia! Definitely will be on repeat this summer. I also paired my outfit with my Kate Spade sandals and matching pink earrings.
