This dress is what I would call a diamond in the rough. It was one of those moments in St. Thomas where I was in this little shop in a makeshift dressing room in the corner with no AC. The moment I put on the dress I knew it was perfect despite barely being able to see it in a broken dollar store mirror. I saw how it instantly hugged my curves and knew that it had to come home with me for the Summer.
The straps are adjustable, the dress has jewels all over and the handkerchief shirt is just a playful touch. The vibrant colors make this such a fun option for the season, whether you’re playing in the sun or running errands around town this dress is so easy. That’s why I like to stock up on them when I’m in the islands, those diamonds of dresses are so essential to a put together laid back style that I absolutely love. Here is a similar fun dress option that I found on Amazon.
Accessorizing this dress was a breeze, I had so many colors to choose from and play with! I pulled out these earrings that I snagged earlier in the season from Amazon. My headband is one of my favorites as it has a wire inside so I can shape it any way I want. I tried to keep it light and airy but filled with color.
I bought this clutch off of Etsy last year but I found a similar style over on Arden and Gold where I got my other black monogram clutch that I use a lot. This envelop clutch is perfect for a light bag option and the teal monogram just makes it all the more special. I didn’t want to overdo the colors as this outfit is already filled with life so the white clutch and the white slides are a perfect way to tame it just a touch. I can’t tell you how many compliments I got on my dress, when you see special pieces make sure to snag them up fast especially if they bring a smile to your face. I firmly believe that if it makes you smile all day when you wear it, it’s totally worth it!
We are finally having a heat wave here in Michigan and all I have on my mind is the pool. Here’s hoping I finally get to make a splash this week! Have a blessed week y’all!
