Ready for Anything Dress

It’s been a while since I’ve shared a little black dress (LBD) on the blog, and the reason is a bit simple. I was in desperate need of some LBD options in my closet, I hadn’t bought any in a long time. The moment that I saw this one pop up on Main Street Dresser I couldn’t have ordered it fast enough.

This dress certainly lives up to it’s name, ready for anything. The name also matches my attitude lately, so much has been going on that I have adapted to being ready for anything. This LBD is a closet staple for sure! The dress fits true to size and the fabric almost feels like a light sweater, making it perfect for the changing in seasons. The balloon sleeves are a fun touch paired with the classic v-neck and relaxed fit of the dress. The best part? It’s totally affordable and also comes in red! I wore this on two of the three elegant nights on my last cruise. While I’m seen wearing heels, if you’ve watched my insta-stories from that night you know they didn’t last long with the rough waters. However, I would rock a pair of heels on land any night. I might have changed into slippers right after this… Here is a similar pair to what I am wearing. I chose for a more fun strap heel to throw in some pattern. A pop of colored heel would also be a great idea and here is a pick for that.

My necklaces are kind of a fun story and truly one of a kind. There are three hearts, the larger one was my Mamaw’s necklace. She passed it down to my Mom, who in turn passed it down to me. The teal heart is Murano glass straight from Venice, Italy when I was there in 2009. The little gold heart is from my very first cruise. Over the years as I collected these pieces they just became a set in my mind. Heart shaped jewelry has been on trend big time this winter and I don’t see it stopping anytime soon. Here is my pick for a heart shaped necklace for you to get the look.

I must have had too much fun in Washington DC last weekend, because I have had a killer cold this past week. While I’m now getting back to my normal self I am reminded that I need to slow down a bit and not move at the speed of light.

Have a blessed week y’all!
