It’s almost the weekend so it’s a perfect time to talk about pastries. Not just any pastries, I’m talking about French pastries from L’Express by Bacchus. As soon as we passed this bakery I knew I was going to be doing a power walk to get myself a good authentic French croissant once the tour bus stopped.
Disney Springs has gotten so many changes over the last couple years, including new shopping, restaurants and gorgeous parking garages. Out of all of these new restaurants I couldn’t wait to stop by to see the new renovations they did to Portobello or as they now call it, Terralina.
Happy Friday lovelies! Today I wanted to spill some details all about my favorite food group, pizza. Yes, you read that correctly in my world pizza is a main food group and is a very serious subject. As someone who has spent time in Italy it’s actually raised my standards a lot on this Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle loving food and made it pretty hard to meet my standards. Carnival has done a wonderful job in the pizza department and it has become one of my most favorite spots on the ships.
I’m back in the North and ready to chat about it! This trip was amazing for me and taught me so much about myself but most of all it taught me how to truly relax. Before I overwhelm you with TONS of pictures and posts from the tropics I thought I would give you an update and explain a bit where I’ve been.
Guess what? Yesterday was my first day back from my two week vacation and let me tell y’all, I am so relaxed and mellow. My trip was truly wonderful and before we dive right into all things tropical I thought I would share a land post today. Right after debarking my cruise I stopped in Disney Springs to do a bit of ear shopping.
I’ve had so many questions from cruise beginners. Honestly there is so much information in my brain that I could easily chat for hours over coffee on what to expect. I decided to help matters I would create a short and quick list of my tips for beginners on cruising.
I partly apologize from here on out, there will be as many cruise posts as I can get away without being overly obnoxious within the next 6 months. Why you may ask? I am headed on my 7th cruise in January which is a 13 day Caribbean!! Now you can see where this just opened up a whole lot of blog possibilities. I’ve gotten a lot of questions about cruising over the years and embarkation is a huge one! For those that aren’t familiar with that term, it’s the actually process of checking in and boarding the ship to start your vacation.
This weekend I am sharing the area of Ann Arbor that I just can’t get enough of, it’s the farthest from me but I just love heading over to that side for shopping. Especially if I’m craving a smoothie from Whole Foods and a quick walk through Homegoods!

I decided to start off my Guide to Ann Arbor with the side that I tend to spend most of my time in, the West Side! It’s actually closest to Chelsea, so it only takes me about 15 minutes to get to all of my favorites.
If I’m being completely honest, I really wish that I had spent more time at the Mermaid Winery in Norfolk, Virginia when I was there this summer. Because of our time table my Mom and I only had a couple of minutes to spend and boy did we stock up knowing it!
