Walking through Fall in Polka Dots
Is it just me or am I living in a fairy tale that looks like it suddenly got a magical fall transformation!? I’m styling this polka dot top from Fashom, my new adorable booties from Target and touches of velvet and leather all wrapped into one. If my winter decides to look straight out of a Hallmark movie, I’ll consider it a blessing! It would make it much more bearable this year.

I can’t tell you how excited I was when Fashom reached out to me asking to shoot this little clip. It was a much needed breather back into the fashion realm after weeks of space, unpacking, painting and lots of cardboard boxes. It was also my first video in a LONG time! I thought it would be fun to share some fun facts, tidbits and Easter eggs that you can find in the original 22 second clip of my video that I submitted.
Draped Vest & Kicking off Winter One Cup of Coffee at a Time
Winter has officially hit us here in Michigan. The temps have dropped, snow has hit, there are carols in the air and I’m just trying to get through it one cup of coffee at a time. My season of change hasn’t stopped for a minute and I’m on light speed heading into the new year. I’m focused on layering this time of year. Whether it’s vests, coats, jackets, shrugs, wraps… you name it, I’m layering it. Which is why I am kicking off the season with this draped vest that feels like a blanket wrapped around me all day long.

With less than a month of Summer left I am wearing all the tropical prints I can find. Despite their being a Fall scent in the air already I am going to live out this season as much as possible before my Birthday season arrives. My day in the Outer Banks last month was a bit different from my norm. In reality I was on the beach less than 10 minutes. Spring is in the air… sometimes… It’s still a transitional season here in Michigan. I start my mornings with a light jacket and end my days with it over my arm and my sunglasses on.
