To kick off the start of football season, I threw a brunch fit for any University of Michigan fan. Y’all know I love a good theme, so of course I went all out! Including customizing my own napkins. I tried my best to customize the menu to fit ‘Maize & Blue’ as much as possible while keeping the tradition of brunch and a splash of good old fashioned football.Continue reading
Last week I had the pleasure of returning to Holland, Michigan after 15 years. While I was there this time for a jam packed work trip, I still managed to re-live some of my past traditions as well as explore some new ones!Continue reading
My story with Manitou Beach is just beginning! It was truly love at first sight when I discovered the town for the first time. A scenario I like to call a “happy accident”, but has God’s hand all over it! The town has quickly become one of my favorite escapes and I couldn’t wait to share it with you. I took a random day off from work during the July 4th weekend and had a blast shopping and exploring.Continue reading
I have been spending quite a bit of time at the lake lately, including on boats! I thought it would be fun to share what’s in my Lake Day bag for a day on the boat. I gotta tell you, it sure does take a village!Continue reading
While it may appear to be a post about a girl’s day trip to Saint Joseph, Michigan and it totally is! I’m also sharing a piece of my heart about disappointment, plot twists and listening to what God has planned rather than your plans this week.
It’s finally Friday, so let’s talk about tacos! Because what would go better with a Friday than tacos?! A couple weeks ago I shared the absolute best tacos in my life while I was shopping in Frankenmuth on my Instagram stories. Well, now I’m giving you all of the details.
Whether your coming for a visit, passing through or even decided to attend the University of Michigan my wish is that these lists of my favorite spots in Ann Arbor help guide your way through the city that has been my playground all my life. I decided to start off my Guide to Ann Arbor with the side that I tend to spend most of my time in, the West Side! It’s actually closest to Chelsea, so it only takes me about 15 minutes to get to all of my favorites.
As soon as I heard that a new dog bakery was opening in Chelsea I started stalking their page like a Kate Spade bag on sale. Once the grand opening was announced I planned a date with Tucker to take him to The Brown Basset. I was lucky enough to meet the owners the night before so I was already on friendly terms before I even walked in the door. I’ve made a bit of a Friday habit by stopping by after work for Tucker’s t-r-e-a-t-s for the week.
Do you ever walk into a store and think, “I’m home”? That’s exactly how I felt when I walked into Le Bon Macaron. As someone who is preparing for her own place, walking into this sweet shop was like walking into a dream kitchen for me. My Mom even turned to me and said, “This place is so YOU!” I had followed Le Bon Macaron on social media for a while now, and was so excited for them to open this location. It only took my like 8 months to go check it out because of my busy schedule which I’m so glad I finally went.
