I have been anxiously waiting for the newest French inspired restaurant on my side of Ann Arbor to open, I’ll admit I was stalking their Facebook page for months. (#guilty) Of course once I heard word that the The Standard had opened I grabbed my Mamaw and took her to lunch as soon as I could.
I attended a lovely Style Seminar last month hosted by my friends Anne of Curls and Contours and Liz of With Wonder and Whimsy at HIPS Resale Boutique in Clawson, Michigan. This was my first time at HIPS, I thought it was the cutest little shop and I had the best time wandering through the racks after the event to score some great deals with mimosa in hand. 😉
This bright colored top has been the object of my obsession lately, and I’m fully owning it! I picked it up at the cutest boutique called Dear Prudence in Northville, Michigan on a Girl’s Day with my friend Liz of With Wonder & Whimsy. I was thrilled to find that Dear Prudence had just brought out their new Spring items as well as some vacation ones.
I had a recent girls day with Liz of With Wonder and Whimsy that was filled with photo shoots, shopping, lots of girl talk and lunch of course! I was in Liz’s neck of the woods and let her decide where we went in Downtown Northville. Liz took me to one of her favorites, Center Street Grille.
As a dress girl there’s nothing I love more than a black maxi! I wear them on repeat in the summer as it’s just so classy and effortless. I’ve missed them like crazy these past few months, so I decided to challenge myself into figuring out a way to be able to wear it in the winter while still staying warm. The answer? I’ve gone Sporty Spice Katie.
I do have a confession to make, this non snowy winter hating girl was having a blast in the snow shooting this floral dress. There’s something about a gorgeous dress to make you feel enough confidence in yourself to not mind the below freezing temps and frozen particles of hatred.
Let me start off by disclaiming that I have never had Indian food before. I was going to dinner with my friend Andrea and she was craving Indian, so I thought why not try something new!?! We went to Everest Sherpa in Ann Arbor and it was such a fun environment, not to mention had delicious food! But I totally made her order for me!
I have to be honest, there are not many outfits where I go, “WOW, I slayed that one!” For starters, I don’t usually use the word “slay”. But for this outfit, I looked at the photos and just thought, it’s completely me! I’m not sure if it was the combination of the blue ombré with the leather look jacket, or the fact that I am legitimately wearing my initial….?
It’s time to give winter the cold shoulder! 😉 I don’t know about you but I am dreaming of beaches, sunshine and flip flops on a loop inside my head. 24/7. This Black cold shoulder Lace top from To Save is so adorable I couldn’t help but start wearing it in the winter. (Please note it was SNOWING during this photo shoot!)
