Last week I had the pleasure of returning to Holland, Michigan after 15 years. While I was there this time for a jam packed work trip, I still managed to re-live some of my past traditions as well as explore some new ones!Continue reading
My story with Manitou Beach is just beginning! It was truly love at first sight when I discovered the town for the first time. A scenario I like to call a “happy accident”, but has God’s hand all over it! The town has quickly become one of my favorite escapes and I couldn’t wait to share it with you. I took a random day off from work during the July 4th weekend and had a blast shopping and exploring.Continue reading
While it may appear to be a post about a girl’s day trip to Saint Joseph, Michigan and it totally is! I’m also sharing a piece of my heart about disappointment, plot twists and listening to what God has planned rather than your plans this week.
Whether your coming for a visit, passing through or even decided to attend the University of Michigan my wish is that these lists of my favorite spots in Ann Arbor help guide your way through the city that has been my playground all my life. I decided to start off my Guide to Ann Arbor with the side that I tend to spend most of my time in, the West Side! It’s actually closest to Chelsea, so it only takes me about 15 minutes to get to all of my favorites.
It was time for me to restock on some of my favorite things at Sally Beauty Supply and I decided it would be a great opportunity to introduce the store and my favorites. Basically Sally’s is a mecca for anyone in the beauty industry and the best part is that anyone can shop there and get incredible products at incredible prices!
I had a recent girls day with Liz of With Wonder and Whimsy that was filled with photo shoots, shopping, lots of girl talk and lunch of course! I was in Liz’s neck of the woods and let her decide where we went in Downtown Northville. Liz took me to one of her favorites, Center Street Grille.
The Carlyle Grill in Ann Arbor has been my favorite restaurant since it opened, back when I was in high school. I’ve tried the majority of their menu, and what I haven’t tried members of my family have. For being my favorite, I don’t get to eat there much anymore. This was actually my first time back since becoming a vegetarian and boy was I happy!
Let me start off by disclaiming that I have never had Indian food before. I was going to dinner with my friend Andrea and she was craving Indian, so I thought why not try something new!?! We went to Everest Sherpa in Ann Arbor and it was such a fun environment, not to mention had delicious food! But I totally made her order for me!
